This process has three rounds
1)written test(online)
2)Technical and managerial interview round
3)HR round
Calculators are allowed for written test..even though you forget to take the calculator no need to worry as a scientific calculator is provided on the right side of your screen of your online test.You can take the practice test which tells you the pattern and topics which are to be concentrated.after you take the practice test you can download some more extra bits which could be practiced whose answers can be found on many websites.
Recollect about your projects(if any),subjects such as JAVA,C,C++,HTML,OOPS or any other programming subjects,latest advancements in IT and Consultancy field for TR round and MR round.
Make Good resume for HR round.Be confident with your thoughts.
Always remember that only your Confidence would be tested in last two rounds and it can give them the faith that you can work in their organisation.
I want to share with you my experience here with you.I am PG student i.e, pursuing my M.Tech(electrical PG) at JNTUK,Andhra Pradesh. We had the pre-placement talk on 1st sept 2014 by TCS HR Team.where we were informed that TOP 5 from every group were given exemption from written exam but have to attend the VERBAL section of written exam.Others would have aptitude section in addition.Here we had 116 students who got written exemption.And a total of 610 students attempted the test on 3rd september,out of which 499 students cleared the written test.Then we had the TR round along with MR round.Two persons where there in each panel with laptop and there around 22 panels as such.Next day we had the TR result and around 365 students were selected for HR.And here we had two people in each panel and around 13 panels.And final results where given on 8th September announced by TCS person in the auditorium.Around 235 names were announced and declared 235 members were selected from your collage to our MNC. My name was not in the final list. After 2 days I got a mail from TCS saying "all the best for your future".Even i felt the same at that time.
